Doctor appointment today: visible heart beating at 145bpm, head 3.6 cm wide, visible spine and brain lobes, too big to get a single complete picture on the sonogram (that's why the feet aren't visible).

ACK! have not had time to read your blogs lately and finally did today. ACK! came across this ultrasound of what seems to be a fiorst trimester baby! ACK! Congrats much be in order...i hope thi is your baby's Ultrasound pic, have not read onward yet... :)
With our new baby at 12 weeks today, I assure you that you have so much to look forward to. And make sure you get your partner this book called "What to Expect the First Year", for it is like a bible to new mom's and helps settle many nervous situations for when the baby finally arrives.
And oh, regarding the pic, the technician can usually zoom in and out to see just certain parts of the whole fetus, as they did for us in the US, but they probably wont do it here in case youa ccidentally figure out its gender.
