Every few months, I significantly prune the number of weblogs I subscribe to in Bloglines. This weekend I spent some time with John, and some things that came up during our conversations reminded me that I need to spend less time online and more time hitting the books, focusing on future goals. For the record, then, here is the list of weblogs to which I subscribed before the Great Purge of April 2005 (the new list can be found by clicking on the link above):

Good luck hitting the books. I guess that means that you've unsubscribed from me, which I have no problem with. I'll go through each link myself and see if they deserve some of my ever-dwindling attention, since, if I understand correctly what you're doing, you're making it possible for people to replace you as a reader of each site. :)
> you're making it possible for people to

Thanks for assuming that I would be so unselfish, but the truth is that I'm also leaving it here for my own reference. I don't intend to become a non-reader, just change from a compulsively-clicking-the-reload-button reader to a "goes through the list every once in a while and visits actual web pages" reader.
And if I were going to further discuss my own reasons for the Purge, the discussion would revolve around two main reasons: the choice to focus my time on friends with whom I have real-life relationships (notice that the "RL Friends" folder has, in fact, grown), and the need to admit that my future is not likely to be in IT {not all of us are that lucky :)} so that time spent online is not as productive in the long term for me as it is for people like yourself.
Thanks for the comment :)
