The lady in front of me at Carrefour today payed for her groceries with a Taipingyang Card by punching the pin number into a pad attached to the register. So I'm guessing it's a good bet that I can order stuff online with mine. Shweet.

You probably already know this, but Paypal has just launched in China: http://www.paypal.com/cn/
I haven't looked through the payment options yet, though.

I would sign up, but I tend to back off from the cutting edge when it comes to my money. Let's see how many places besides eBay start accepting Paypal.com.cn before diving in.
